I work without preliminary sketches and draw directly on raw canvas with chalk and charcoal. My motives evolve over time and emerge from ideas that form in my consciousness. The compositions are pared down with flat and simplified sense of perspective. The muted colors and lack of details reduce visual distraction and lead the gaze inwards
